Your responsibilities
You will own the end-to-end design process for Kamoa’s product suite, ensuring that our complex financial tools are intuitive, accessible, and high-impact.
Design Strategy & Execution: You will lead the design process from concept to delivery, creating wireframes, low-fidelity prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new features and flows.
User-Centric Research: You act as the voice of the user. You conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesis to uncover pain points in our fintech products and translate these insights into actionable design solutions.
Cross-functional Collaboration: You work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to define requirements, weigh technical constraints, and ensure the design is feasible and effective. You facilitate brainstorming and co-design sessions to solve real-world problems.
Iterative Improvement: You don't "set and forget." You monitor the performance of your designs, iterate based on quantitative data (usage metrics) and qualitative feedback, and continuously improve the user experience.
Prerequisites
Experience: 4+ years in product design (UX/UI), with a strong portfolio showcasing complex workflows and mobile-first products.
Fintech & Complex Systems: You have experience designing for complex domains where clarity, trust, and security are paramount.
Design Toolkit: Expert command of design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite).
Development Appetite: You understand the constraints of front-end development. You know how to communicate your designs to engineers so they are easily implementable.
Research Skills: Proven experience conducting user research, including planning, conducting interviews, and analyzing findings to influence product direction.
Languages: English required. Bilingual French / English is highly preferred to support our cross-border operations.

You are an active collaborator. You don't design in a vacuum. You involve engineers and PMs early, listen to their input, and are comfortable defending your design decisions while being open to compromise.
You are empathetic and curious. You genuinely want to understand the unique challenges of users in emerging markets—from connectivity issues to varying levels of financial literacy.
